DNS Made Easy offers customers the leading uptime in the industry with their IP Anycast+ DNS network and service.
DNS Made Easy, the world leader in IP Anycast DNS services, was ready in full throttle for the holiday shopping Internet push. DNS Made Easy powers the DNS for some of the largest brands on the Internet and was ready to get customers to all their websites as fast as possible.
More and more retail purchases are heading online. Last year, online holiday shopping sales hit $2.29 billion, which was more than 20 percent higher than the year before, according to published reports. Full reports for Cyber Monday 2014 have not been tallied but early expectations are that online ordering will exceed the $2.4 billion.
“More consumers are heading online to make purchases, and the trend isn’t going to let up anytime soon,” said Steven Job, president of DNS Made Easy. “Companies who rely on DNS Made Easy realize their sites will have an aggressive advantage over their competitors that do not use DNS Made Easy. Their sites will be up-and-running as well as load faster than if they used competing services.”
DNS Made Easy says the holiday push was not unnoticed, as a large multi-gigabit attack was spotted in the early hours. DNS Made Easy immediately went into action protecting its vast network, and remained online.
“It was nice to say our NOC immediately identified the problem and mitigated the attack,” Job said. “No customer queries were lost during the attack and that is why customers have been trusting DNS Made Easy for 13 years now.”
Due to the attack the exact numbers of the increase of traffic can not be fully calculated, but DNS Made Easy estimates it saw roughly a 30% gain in network traffic compared to last year’s shopping season.
DNS Made Easy ensures its customers are set for a successful sales season backed by a 13-year industry leading uptime. DNS Made Easy custom-fits each DNS product and service to its customer’s business and specific needs.
“We consult and work with our Corporate Members to make sure everything is good to go for the upcoming holiday season,” Job said. “We are ready to handle the traffic and flow to each and every site.”
A slowdown in web services can result in significant loss in revenue for online merchants and services. In addition, a slow performing website often leads to lower user interaction, loss of brand credibility, and eventual loss of revenue.
DNS Made Easy always ranks in the top fastest DNS services for more than two consecutive years. The DNS services of DNS Made Easy has often ranked as the number one provider for the fastest DNS speed in the industry, according to SolveDNS, a third party network research firm.
“DNS Made Easy continually outperforms other enterprise DNS services that are often 100 to 1,000 times their pricing,” Job said. “Customers who use DNS Made Easy have access to the fastest network in the industry. Many of our competitors often focus most of their resources in marketing and sales and this is where DNS Made Easy differentiates itself from the rest. We focus our resources on what really matters to our customers; speed, uptime, and features.”
In addition to offering the world’s premiere DNS service for performance and redundancy, DNS Made Easy also offers services to optimize and direct traffic flow based on geographic location of the end user; the Global Traffic Director (GTD) service. GTD prevents companies and organizations from slow load times that can impact customer confidence and cause a loss in sales.
DNS Made Easy has seen more than an 18% growth in its GTD services in the last year and recently expanded to their network in Seattle and San Jose to provide even better routing and accuracy of the service.
Companies rely on DNS Made Easy’s IP Anycast+ network, which provides global load balancing, redundancy, decreased latency, and a true distributed response to denial of service (DoS) and distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
Using IP Anycast+ each name server IP corresponds to hundreds of systems worldwide that are announced from different geographical locations. DNS queries are then sent to the closest name server to the querying client. With multiple networks redundantly responding to the same IP address, network performance and uptime are drastically increased.
The bottom line is with DNS Made Easy customers can provide their online shoppers easy navigation and the fastest load times in the industry. With billions of dollars on the line, every second counts.
