Register.com has announced a DNS outage today, October 19, 2020 at 3:38 PM EST, which has affected their DNS customer service base. The outage is still ongoing, and the issue has not been identified or resolved.
Register.com released the following statement on its Twitter page today:

- Amazon Web Services’ DNS systems fell victim to a cyber-attack on October 22, 2019 that was reported to have left the systems overwhelmed for over ten hours.
- IBM Cloud suffered a major outage on June 9, 2020 that affected multiple services hosted on the platform worldwide.
- Cloudflare DNS users also experienced an outage on July 17, 2020 that left websites and services unreachable to online visitors.
