DNS Made Easy, the world leader in enterprise IP Anycast DNS services, announced another addition to the Control Panel 3.0 which is set to be released in the coming weeks. Control Panel 3.0 is the completely new web interface that was designed by the DNS experts at DNS Made Easy. DNS Made Easy claims that it has used 10 years of experience providing a web interface for DNS management along with user suggestions and feedback to build the most complete and advanced DNS management control panel that has ever been developed. DNS Made Easy stated today that the new web based interface allows DNS Made Easy clients to assign multi-user account functionally for better team collaboration and management of DNS services. DNS Made Easy has had a strong reputation of providing exceptional enterprise DNS services and is the preferred choice to over-priced and underperforming alternatives in the enterprise IP anycast DNS market.
With the new sub-user functionality, customers will be able to create sub-users with specific management permissions. A sub-user can be granted or denied access to discrete parts of the DNS Made Easy system. Some intended uses would be to allow purchasing staff to view invoices and renew services but not edit DNS for domains, and to allow web developers access to modify DNS for test/development domains while denying access to production domains, and for higher level administrative users that have change and audit capability over all system features. The sub-user capability is also a key new feature for service resellers, such as IT consultants and web hosting providers, as they will now be able manage all of their customers’ domains under one account and allow their customers access to manage their own domains through sub-user accounts.
The new sub-user functionality within the Control Panel 3.0 will now make DNS management for multi-user organizations more secure. The Control Panel 3.0 Audit Trail and Activity Log are fully integrated with the sub-user functionality and all actions are correlated with the sub-user that committed them.
“This has been a long anticipated feature for DNS Made Easy that we are happy to offer to all of our clients,” stated Steven Job, President of DNS Made Easy. “This shows the continued high level of innovation and desire to meet customer needs that is found at DNS Made Easy. Allowing team members to have varying levels of access through sub-user permissions will also allow for an increase in productivity by all team members within an organization. We look forward to seeing the many interesting ways that our clients will implement sub-user security configurations for their organization.”
