Real-Time Statistics gets a major upgrade this week that enables DNS Made Easy users to view more of their query logs at a time and gain deeper analysis of their domains.
DNS Made Easy released a significant update this week to increase the amount of data users can view in Real-Time Statistics (RTS) query logs. Administrators are now able to dig deeper into their logs and gain valuable insights into how end-users are querying their records. The update will expand users’ views of their networks and allow them to analyze larger amounts of data at a time.
“We are excited to provide our users with even more expansive query logs and reports through Real-Time Statistics,” says President of DNS Made Easy Steven Job.
DNSME network engineers recently upgraded their backend infrastructure to support the new abilities available in the RTS update.
“We are constantly expanding on our services to give our users’ deeper visibility in their query traffic, and better anticipate issues,” says Job.
Real-Time Stats allow users to see which of their records are being queried over a set period of time. Users can filter queries based on location, record type, which protocol they are using, and whether end-users are using IPv4 or IPv6 connectivity. RTS helps users analyze their query data in an actionable dashboard to troubleshoot traffic abnormalities and even anticipate DNS-based attacks.
The logs used in RTS are metrics all service providers have access to, but rarely take advantage of. That’s because the amount of data that RTS generates is massive and most providers don’t want to invest in the storage requirements needed to store the query logs.
